As a diverse professional with over 10 years' experience as a Life Coach, professional Counsellor (clinical), motivational speaker, Harpist, Singer Songwriter and author I have assisted thousands of people towards living the life they want to live.
Author: As a published author, my passion and diversity is evident in poetry, lyrics, articles and book reviews for National Magazines, numerous works of non-fiction and fiction, community booklets, speeches and technical material.
Awards: The Daily News, Tweed Bulletin, Gold Coast Bulletin, Tweed Weekly, ABC Radio, Today Tonite and 92.5 Gold FM have showcased my achievements over the years for work in the community, as President of the Gold Coast Writers Association, personal achievements and as a published author. I have even been asked to give professional advice for the Big Brother show.
As the recipient of distinguished awards, I have been invited to Canberra Parliament House three times as special guest for a special Innovation Award for a unique 'Write to Heal' program which is still used today through-out national organisations. I have over the years won several poetry and short story competitions and written articles and Book Reviews for numerous National Magazines.
One other special national award saw me attend a ceremony in Sydney where I received praise by distinguished luminaries such as Hazel Hawke, Paul Mecurio and Maggie Tabberer. The acceptance speech I wrote was published in the National Woman’s Day Magazine. I have also won a Bravery Award and an Honouree Citizen of the Year Award.
Motivational Speaker: As President of the Gold Coast Writers Association for many years I pioneered many changes. I inaugurated the ongoing Poetry and Prose event, supported literary festivals from Byron Bay through to Brisbane, conducted workshops and seminars, and was engaged as a speaker and judge. I have been called upon throughout the years to give talks at local libraries, schools, and community organisations as a motivational speaker.
I have had experience of teaching writing workshops and conducting seminars in Australia and overseas on a Creative Writing Tour in France. As part of a recent three month trip overseas I participated in the Tennessee Williams Festival held in New Orleans and gave a talk in Paris.
