Jane Bailey Bain
Jane Bailey Bain studied Psychology (BA) at Oxford University and Social Anthropology (MSc) at the London School of Economics. She has lived and traveled around the world, including time in America and Australia. For several years, Jane worked as a consultant on development programs in Africa and Asia. This involved planning and evaluating projects in terms of their practical impact on people's lives. Her reports paid particular attention to social and cultural factors, such as gender and ethnicity. During this time she became interested in stories and how people use them to make sense of their lives. Jane holds a PGCE and Certificate in Counseling Skills. Her work provides a unique combination of psychological and anthropological approaches to the study of myth. Jane currently teaches Mythology in West London.
