Tribe

Review by Richard D. Wright Tranquil Things on Mon, 26 Jul 2010
Tribe is really two overlapping books. For both, the word ‘tribe’ in the text “refers to any group of people who come together for any reason, anywhere, at any time” and also “the whole of humanity as a single collective: The very spirit of tribalism itself.” This book will appeal especially to those new to the process of shamanic journeying. By the conclusion the reader will understand that “We are not alone. We are collectively a spiritual being with a radiant spirit … We are tribe.”

Presence, The

Review by Mary Bartholomew on Mon, 26 Jul 2010
There is a lot of autobiographical information in this book, but it also contains some profound thoughts that challenge the reader. Robert Page writes in an unusual style, addressing the reader very personally and sharing his story in an honest and open way. ....It is about the overwhelming love of God that this book is really about. Amazing, and a good read.

Patient in Room Nine Says He's God, The

Review by Writer's Digest on Sat, 24 Jul 2010
I'll always remember The Patient in Room Nine for its sensitivity, wit and originality. Dr. Profeta has constructed an outstanding work here that, at its best moments, channels Oliver Sachs, and otherwise maintains an instructive vision and calming spirit.

Way of the Horned God, The

User review by RoseGypsie on Fri, 23 Jul 2010
Granted, I'm not a young male pagan, but I do study Wiccan and Pagan views of the masculine divine. That being said, I really did enjoy reading this. The insights offered here are of serious use for young men, or their parents. Dancing Rabbit's focus on responsibility and balance were wonderfully refreshing and encouraging. I would highly recommend this to every young man who comes to me wanting to learn - maybe even to other women who, like me, want to find a deeper connection to the Horned God. Dancing Rabbit does a wonderful job of incorporating spiritual life with mundane life in his examples of rituals and ways to connect to the divine.

Dark Man, The

Review by Geoff Ward on Thu, 22 Jul 2010
An intelligent and perceptive guide to dealing with the dark side of our personalities or, in the terms of the psychologist Carl Jung, confronting one’s Shadow.

Intuitive Lovers

Review by Kathy Fitzgerald Freelancer - Boston City Paper on Thu, 22 Jul 2010
Intuitive Lovers by Becky Walsh- John Hunt Publishing, Ltd. Review by K.M. Fitzgerald July 21, 2010 First, I must say that I thought that this would not be one genre that I would read. Then I discovered it’s actually a guide. Maybe the title needs a revamp. Anyway, this book, guide, uses intuitiveness, supernatural feelings, knowledge, and even explaining our own magnetic force fields. Now those I do believe in. Ms. Walsh ties together ways to ‘clean out’ the negative baggage from one’s body and soul and helps us to move on in any relationship. Using the rules and non-rules of life, she delves into having a sexual relationship whether hetero, homo, or bi-sexual. Much of it is very helpful and easy to understand. It also teaches you how to clear the mind, make your sexual encounter more fruitful for you and your partner and take matters into your own hands instead of another. “You are the thinker of thoughts.” Wonderful quote. Using statements such as this makes the reader understand that they are in control and always should be. Take out the negativity, as it seems to spread to others, especially a possible partner. Positive thoughts and attitudes attract. Headings such as Ego-self, Higher-self, Ego-Stroking Love, Turning Your Mind Off And Your Body On, Soul kissing, The Energy System Around The Body, and so on, will help the reader understand things their mom could never tell them, or wouldn’t, and, as part of the title suggests, Ms. Walsh uses intuition, empathy, and thought communication for people to understand them and use these forces of nature to perfect both lovemaking…and love. Which might even improve your entire being. I learned quite a bit. I do love new information.

Embracing Death

Review by Chris Seaton on Wed, 21 Jul 2010
"I have often been in a church, for occasions like weddings and funerals, and wondered if it was just me who didn’t quite 'get it.' Thankfully, after all these years, along comes Terri’s book, and suddenly I start to feel 'normal' again. The whole religion thing makes more sense after reading a couple of Terri’s paragraphs than it did in the previous 55 years of self-conditioning."
