We do not have any full or part time positions available. We do not take on interns, can not respond to queries about how we work for graduates doing theses, do not have holiday positions. Sorry.

Freelance

The rates we offer are relatively low. They do not match those recommended by the Society of Editors or Indexers or similar organizations. We work with a couple of dozen, and it works for them because the books tend to travel through the system quickly, efficiently, at high volumes, and we always pay within 30 days of invoice.

We do not at the moment need text or cover designers. We occasionally need more copy-editors and proof readers, contact Trevor.greenfield@o-books.net.

Editors/publishers

We're very open to discussion with anyone who has the background/experience/contacts to develop the list or begin a new one. The starting point is more along the lines of what a literary agent would earn from sales rather than an overhead cost, but fortified by a generous profit-sharing scheme. We're not looking for any printers, software companies or supply of any kind from companies outside the US or UK.
